About Jane Faulkner...

My name is Jane Faulkner. I have been involved with the Serum Run since 2002 when I helped train dogs for one of the mushers running that year. I have run the Serum Run 3 times and am planning to go again in Feb 2009. I became a board member in 2008.

I have been a member of the Peninsula Sled Dog Racing Association (PSDRA) since 2000 and took the position of treasurer for 2 years. I have also been a member of Soldotna Equestrian Association for approximately 15 years. I am still a member of both of these associations. I work part time for Alaska Horsemen in the summer doing tours on horseback. Tour trips range from 3 hours to 3 days.

I have volunteered time and dogs to teach mushing & ski-joring for the Fish & Game Becoming An Outdoor Woman (BOW) for 5 years. This year we are planning a Beyond BOW, taking women for an overnight mushing trip.

I am currently employed at Central Peninsula Hospital and have worked here for 16 years as a registered nurse. I have worked in management of ICU & Med Surg, and currently work as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department.

I have one son named Zachary Faulkner. He is 24 years old & also works in health care.
